The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili awarded the French Kartvelologist - Bernard Utier, the Head of the Scientific Department of the Georgian National Archives - Ketevan Asatiani, the Director of the Museum of Georgian Emigration - Rusudan Kobakhidze and the Director of the Polish Institute in Tbilisi - Lech Konchak. The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli attended the solemn event held at the Orbeliani Palace.

Within the framework of the USAID Growth in Georgia project, Akhaltsikhe, Gori, Kachreti and Zugdidi vocational education institutions were provided with relevant equipment for the implementation of the tour guide program.

To commemorate this event, owing to the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the Georgian Post issued a postage stamp, which is a visible attribute of the recent history of the country.
