We would like to remind you, that a registration process is underway regarding the vocational curriculum programs. Those who wish to receive vocational education, have the opportunity to register until April 22, on a program of their preference including vocations in Tourism, construction, agriculture, transportation, Information Technology and others.

The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Lia Gigauri held a coordination meeting with the heads of the educational resource centers.

Discussions focused on the challenges in the education system, in response to the recommendations received by the Resource Centers. Participants also got acquainted with the new projects initiated by the Ministry for the new academic year.

The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Alexander Tevzadze held a meeting with the Director of Education Quality Development Department of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Rector of the Vocational Education of the Republic of Belarus and the Rector of Belarus National Technical University.

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Mikheil Chkhenkeli held an official visit to Baku and met with the rector of ADA University - Hafiz Pashaev and discussed trending issues in the higher education.

Mikheil Chkhenkeli – the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, together with the rectors of numerous Georgian universities, paid an official visit to Baku, where they met with the rectors of Azerbaijan universities. 

The annual conference of the International Association of University Presidents  (IAUP) held in Baku covered the theme of - "Globalization and New Challenges in Higher Education". Within the conference framework, the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli delivered a speech to the audience and thanked the Azerbaijani Oil and Industry University for organizing the event.

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli held a meeting with the General Director of the Central and Western Asia Department of the Asian Development Bank - Werner Lipkas and the local representative of the Bank in Georgia - Jeanne Elhan-Kayalar.

Georgian Technical University hosted an Open Day regarding the Spring admissions on the vocational educational programs developed at the technical training center.

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli and the Rector of Business and Technology University (BTU) - Misha Batiashvili discussed the details of cooperation with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), according to which a global startup lab will be created with the support of MIT for the first time in Tbilisi.

Owing to the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce, and due to the high rate of interest from the private sector, a meeting was held, regarding the implementation and the planning of the work-based learning processes and the ongoing vocational education reform.
