Within the scope of the vocational program registration, an open day was held for the individuals with disabilities at vocational college “Icarus”. Within the framework, the graduates and the alumni, shared their experience with the vocational courses, the enrollment procedures and registration, in conjunction with conducting a culinary lesson towards the end of the meeting.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia announces the registration of first graders for the 2018-2019 academic year.
The registration will be implemented in 3 stages:
Stage I: 2018, April 10 - April 27
Registration will be conducted in schools.
The following students are registered:
- Whose parent is a school employee
- Whose sister or brother studies at this school
- Two or more children are included in the first class at the same time
Registration of applicants for vocational education is underway between April 10 and April 22, 2018. All interested individuals have the opportunity to master a vocation of their preference, fully funded by the state, ranging from; tourism, construction, agriculture, transport, information technology and other fields.
Cooperation between the National Center for Children and Youth of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia with the Crime Prevention Center of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia continues fruitfully.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli, together with his deputies met with graduate students of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. During the meeting, the students emphasized on the existing problems in the educational system, as well as informing the minister regarding the current and planned innovations. The German International Cooperation Society (GIZ) held a meeting with the Georgian wine producing companies in "Schuchmann Wines Georgia" for the purpose of involving more private companies in the development of the vocational education.
Students of Tbilisi public school N100 will continue their studies in a new building from the new academic year. The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Mikheil Chkhenkeli got acquainted with the construction site, where the majority of the construction is already completed.

The 60th meeting of the Council of Europe Youth Monitoring Committee is held in Budapest, where the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Teimuraz Murgulia is participating. In his speech to the committee, the Deputy Minister stressed that our country is ready to strengthen and deepen the international cooperation.
