A mountain-skiing sports camp has been launched in Bakuriani, under healthy lifestyle project framework.
The camp aims at promoting mountain skiing to Georgian students and its beneficiaries signify 11-14-year-old students across Georgia. The camp is implemented under the informal education methodology and includes sports, educational, cognitive and cultural activities.

Within the scope of the European Union Technical Assistance Project, a strategic planning manual for the vocational college managers was designed. The manual was created under the Action Plan framework, within the scope of the vocational Education Reform Strategy 2017, according to which a series of training for the administrative personnel is planned in the pilot educational institutions.
Mikheil Chkhenkeli – The minister of Education and Science of Georgia, held a meeting with the minister of Education of Finland – Ms. Sanni Grahn-Laasonen. The meeting primarily focused on novelties, innovations and existing challenges in the educational systems of the aforementioned countries. Moreover, Mikheil Chkhenkeli spoke extensively regarding the amendments in the Georgian school educational system and offered his Finnish colleague an active involvement in the process.
Innovative works of vocational education institutions were displayed on a festival for start-up Entrepreneurs – “Entrepreneurial space 2018.” Students of vocational colleges - “Modus” and “Mermisi” presented their products created primarily in Pub lab.
Owing to the invitation sent by the Ministry of Education of Portugal, Mikheil Chkhenkeli along with the ministers of education from various countries, in conjunction with leaders of Teachers Unions and education experts, participates in the Educational Ministerial in Lisbon.
On the World Down Syndrome Day, the Association of Down Syndrome of Georgia organized a conference titled "What do I add to my workplace", which was dedicated to the challenges of employing people with Down syndrome.
First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Ketevan Natriashvili and Deputy Minister of Corrections and Probation - Zviad Mikhanashvili signed a memorandum that will carry out joint programs for rehabilitation and re-socialization of convicts. Namely, convicts placed in penitentiary establishments will still have the opportunity to master their chosen vocation and receive employment after serving their respective sentences.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia hosted a meeting of the Inclusive Education consulting group. The purpose of the group is to address the current situation in the inclusive education, analyze the existing challenges in the system and create joint agreements for the future activities. The members of the consulting group are representatives of governmental, non-governmental and international organizations.
