The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, hosted the director of the mission of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in Georgia - John Pennell. 

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari participated in the second "Joint Employment Forum" of private and public organizations organized by San Diego State University of Georgia.

The annual international forum of members of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, ENQA, is taking place in Tbilisi on April 19-21, organized by the National Center for the Development of the Quality of Education of the State of Georgia. 

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, held a working meeting with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan - Faig Guliyev . The parties discussed current and future cooperation matters in the field of education and science. 

Owing to the decision of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, a working group was created in the direction of development of general education, which is headed by Giorgi Amilakhvari himself, and coordinated by Doctor of Philology and teacher - Gia Murghulia. 

Owing to the decision of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, the Law of Georgia "On General Education" is amended, according to which, in the 2023-2024 school year, children who will be 6 years old before November 1 will be able to register in the first grade.
