Deputy Ministers of Education and Science of Georgia are meeting with the teachers of various regions frequently. The meetings are Question & Answer based, where the teachers have the opportunity to get answers to all of their questions.

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia –Ms. Tamar Sanikidze, got acquainted with the renovation process at Niko Muskhelishvili Computational Mathematics Institute. The process started few months ago and is steadily coming to an end.

The final stage of “Etaloni – 2016” - the largest educational project with a 10-year experience was held today. The project was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Ms. Tamar Sanikidze, the Deputy Minister – Ms. Lia Gigauri, Tbilisi Mayor – Mr. David Narmania, and the representatives of legislative and diplomatic corps.

Owing to the initiative of Teachers and Scientists Free Trade Union, a charity event-concert was held at the Trade Union House of Culture – “We help children with Leukemia”. All public school teachers, students and caregivers of Samgori district participated in the event.

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Ms. Tamar Sanikidze together with the head of Educational Mandatory Guard Service Office – Mr. Vakhtang Meifariani, awarded psychologists and mandatory guards of Rustavi public school with the special appreciation certificates for their excellent job provided in conjunction with attenting the opening ceremony of a brand new psychological center in Rustavi.

The representatives of Indonesian educatinonal field are in Georgia on a business meeting.  Indonesia in educational circles. The Indonesian delegation was hosted by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science – Mr. George Sharvashidze and introduced the noveltvies in the Georgian educational system, as well as the current projects that are being implemented in the fields of higher education and science development.

Within the scope of the European Days, a presentation of the “The European Union – The presentation of the postal stamp regarding the Georgian collaboration” was held. The stamp was presented by the Minister of European and Euro-Atlatic Integration of Georgia – Mr. David Bakradze, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development – Mr. David Khutsishvili, and the head of the EU delegation – Mr. Janos Herman.

Mandatory guard service is expanding throughout the regions of Georgia. Mandatory guard officers entered to the several large public schools for the firs time. The representatives of the Mandatory Guard Services of the Ministry of Education and Science presented the guards to the schools in person.

From July 23 to August 1, 2016 Georgia will host the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO-48), with the participation of 76 countries and over 300 students. According to the rules and regulations, before the start of the Olympiad, the supervisory board members visit the host country in order to get acquainted with the preparatory works.

“EUROSTUDENT” is a large scale international study, which is carried out by the international consortium. The study aims to examine the socio economic conditions of students studying at the higher educational institutions and to identify what challenges they face.
