As it is known, a national curriculum revision process is underway. The new curriculum will start from the 2016-2017 academic year. The Department of National Curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Science has completed working about primary education (I-VI classes) subject standards.

The winners of the Competition – World Skills Georgia, students of professional colleges, are attending now the International Vocational Skills Competition in Brazil. World Skills-s 43rd international tournament held in the city of San Paulo on August 11-16, 2015.

The Ministry of Education implements various projects for citizens of different nationalities of Georgia in order to help them to integrate in social life. They include the "Multicultural Summer School for ethnic minorities", where non-Georgian speaker pupils learn Georgian language, implement joint projects, get acquainted with the countries history, culture and for a few days live together.

Vocational College “Spectrum” within the framework of the students practice, completed the rehabilitation of the library. Library is adapted for the disabled students and for the students of the special needs and is equipped with modern textbooks for college in the current programs. Electronic library is also available.

The Minister of Education and Science Tamar Sanikidze attended the photo exhibition dedicated to the August 2008 war. In the exhibition, which opened at the National Library, were presented local and foreign photographers works.

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Tamar Sanikidze, Minister of Defense Tinatin Khidasheli and Minister of Justice Tea Tsulukiani signed a memorandum of collaboration, which aims to promote the popularization of the Georgian army and to implement joint projects in order to increase the patriotic spirit within society.

Frankfurt University named after Goethe held the scientific workshop meeting about the further development of Caucasian Studies for its European integration, which was attended by the Minister of Education and Science Tamar Sanikidze, Deputy Minister George Sharvashidze, Frankfurt University Professor Jost Gippert and Professor Manana Tandashvili.

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia continues the presentation of the educational infrastructure projects. This time, Tamar Sanikidze presented to the media the infrastructure projects that has been implemented in the vocational schools since 2013, and introduced the future plans.

The members of the Georgian informatics team (4 players) from the 27th International Informatics Olympiad (IOI 2015 Almaty, Kazakhstan July 26-August 2) returned with 4 medals. All four participants won a bronze medal.
