Within the complex transformation of the education system, one of the important directions is the general education reform, amongst otheri important topics, which are being implemented.
Giorgi Vashakidze, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, together with the government representatives have met with the local population of Zvare, Vardzia, Kharagauli municipality.
A program has been launched for non-statutory teachers and applicants - whose main advantage is to obtain the right to teach alongside being employeed at school. The program also provides for the professional development of a jobseeker, equipping the teacher with skills and thus facilitating the adaptation process to the school environment. The program is implemented remotely, whilst working alongside the general education institution. The trainees involved in the training program will plan their agenda themselves, lasting for up to 2 years.
This
year marks the 80th anniversary of the signing of the
Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact between the Third Reich and the Soviet Union. Georgia
joined the European Network of Remembrance and Solidarity on August 1 as an
observer. Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports joins Remember
Campaign for Victims of Totalitarian Regimes.

The First Stage of Registering Practitioner Teachers Reaching Retirement is Over!
Government officials continue meetings with residents of different regions of Georgia. This time, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport - Shalva Gogoladze and Governor of Kvemo Kartli Region Shota Rekhviashvili, together with MPs of Georgia, held a meeting with the residents of Dmanisi Municipalities - Small Dmanisi, Didi Dmanisi, Vardisubani and Bozlebi Dmanisi and Tsalikhis Khalizi.
A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the governments of Georgia and the United States with a view of enacting future cooperation mechanisms in the field of protection and preservation of cultural belongings and heritage. The document was signed today by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Batiashvili and the Chairman of the US Commission on the Preservation of Cultural Heritage, Paul Packer.
