of Georgia Giorgi Chakhnashvili visited rehabilitated schools in the villages of
Koki and Orsanta in Zugdidi. Both villages are located on the left bank of the
River Enguri, close to the Abkhazia administrative border.
National Center for Teacher
Professional Development carries out pre-certification exams trainings for
teachers of Zemo Nikozi and other villages. The teachers will have the
opportunity to pass 4 day trainings in Professional Skills.

Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia held a meeting with Tbilisi
Private Schools' Principals in European School. The aim of the meeting was
introduction of the new curriculum 2011-2016.

Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Georgia Ortwin Hennig
opened a German Educational Fair at the Youth Palace. The fair presented
German educational programs and projects that are implemented in
Georgia.

of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini attended a seminar for the Biology teachers.
Interactive teaching methods in Biology was the topic of the seminar and up to
60 teachers from Tbilisi and different regions took part in it.
Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini met the
representatives of the donor, international and local organizations
working in the field of inclusive education. Among the organizations
were: Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research, USAID, UNICEF, World
Vision International, Save the Children, Every Child, Open Society
Foundation, Foundation” First Step”, “Children of Georgia” , Embassy
of Poland to Georgia.
Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Irine Kurdadze and
Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Mr. Ortwin Hennig handed
over German language diplomas to 83 students of PASCH schools in
Georgia. The event was organized within the frame of the German Days in
Georgia.
A process of authorization of the private schools begins and the
Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini continues
his visits to the private schools. This time, Minister visited
“European School” and personally informed the school staff about the
conditions of the authorization.

Saakashvili opened newly constructed school in the village of Vaziani. The
construction of school was finished in 2011. 171 schoolchildren study and 21
teachers teach at Vaziani Public School.
Deputy Minister of
Education and Science of Georgia Nodar Surguladze awarded the winners of the
contest in Physics. The competition was organized by Tbilisi Public School №63
for the schoolchildren of general educational institutions with the support of
the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
