The Prime Minister of Georgia
Nika Gilauri proposed an initiative that the officials of public institutions
should report to the public on the ongoing activities and future plans.
Minister of Education and Science
of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini personally congratulated the Children With
Special Needs of Public School №200 on St. George’s Day and presented
them with different gifts.
Meeting was held between the Resource Officers of MES and
representatives of media. Around 20 journalists of TV, radio companies and
press took part in the two-day retreat in Kvareli tourist complex.
Integration in Georgian society is successfully held of the volunteer
English language teachers who have arrived in Georgia
in the scope of the program Teach And Learn With Georgia.
15th award ceremony of the graduates was held at Georgian
Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA). 146 graduates received diplomas in 7
different specialties: Public Administration, Public Policy, Self Governance
and Local Governance, Media and Communication Management, Journalism and Media
Management, International Politics and International Law.
The booklet “Inclusive
Education – Auto Portraits of the Children With Special Needs” is the small
collection of notes, poetry and stories of the Children With Special Needs of the
Public School №198.
In the scope of the program
ALUMNI, initiated by the President, refurbishment of the public schools is
being held. The program is successfully implemented in the regional schools and
public schools of Tbilisi.
Minister of Education and Science
of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini attended the presentation of 2010 summarizing
report of National Curriculum and Assessment Center of MES at Sheraton Metechi
Palace.
For the first time in Georgia,
2010-2011 High School exams will be held through the so called CAT exam model.
Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini and Director of
the National Examination Center, Maia Miminoshvili introduced the sample of
electronic test to around 200 12th graders and answered their
questions on the High School exams.
Presentation of the project Book
Buddy, initiated by MES was held in Tbilisi Public School №1.Mayor
of Tbilisi, Gigi Ugulava together with the Minister of Education and Science of
Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini introduced the new project to the schoolchildren of
primary classes.
In the scope of the program Teach
and Learn With Georgia, 8th group of foreign teachers arrived in
Georgia. They will be distributed in Samtskhe-Javakheti region in order to
teach the local schoolchildren English language.
Several private law companies are
implementing the project Law in Our Lives with the support of the Ministry of
Education and Science of Georgia. Deputy Minister of Education and Science of
Georgia, Irine Kurdadze and the representatives of the law companies visited
Public School №87, spoke with the schoolchildren on the legal issues and
answered their questions in the scope of the project.
Minister of Education and Science
of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini attended the lesson of the 12th
graders in the scope of “Abituri” Hours in the Public School №183
and presented the sample of electronic exam test together with the Director of
the National Examination Center, Maia Miminoshvili.
