Organized by the LEPL Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, all public schools in Georgia are equipped with the necessary resources for virus prevention. Schools have adequate supplies for the entire school year.

Compulsory systematic testing of teachers and administrative staff continues in public and private schools across the country.

Owing to the initiative of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli, the Tamaz Gamkrelidze Prize will be established. The competition will be organized by Shota Rustaveli Georgian National Science Foundation.

Owing to the Resolution N16 of the Government of Georgia of January 18, 2021, the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, approved a state program for vocational training and professional development, aimed at vocational training and retraining.

Compulsory systematic testing of teachers and administrative staff in Georgian general education institutions, public and private schools is in-progress. The costs for the entire testing process is fully provided by the state.

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli hosted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Georgia, Enrico Valvo and discussed the prospect of enhancing the existing cooperation between Georgia and Italy.

Ekaterine Dgebuadze, First Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, will get acquainted with the process of school preparation before the students return to the classrooms. The deputy Minister visited Tbilisi Public School No. 150, where the school is in active preparation to receive students on February 15.

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia provides parents of students of Tbilisi, Rustavi, and Kutaisi secondary schools with the opportunity to choose between distance learning and the traditional learning.
