During the united committee session, the Acting Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli, introduced the amendments to the Georgian legislation, in order to ensure the safe learning environment

Millennium Challenge Account - Georgia has awarded the winners of a grant competition for promoting industry participation in the vocational education sector within the scope of the "Vocation Education for Economic Development" project. The project is financed by the US Millennium Challenge Corporation, within the $ 140 million compact between the governments of the United States and Georgia.

The Acting Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli has introduced the novelties planned in higher education to the members of Parliament at the joint committee session.

A presentation of Dr. Elguja Khintibidze’s English language monograph – “Medieval Georgian Romance “The Man in a Panther-Skin” and Shakespeare’s Late Plays “was held at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. The book was published by ADOLF M. HAKKERT – PUBLISHER in Amsterdam in 2018.

Within the scope of Batumi International Conference - Georgia's European Way, the Acting Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli held a meeting with the Director for International Cooperation, Directorate–General for Research and Innovation of European Commission– Cristina Russo, the Director-General for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Christian Danielsson, the Director for Neighborhood East of European Commission – Lawrence Meredith, and the Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia – Jarosch Hermann.

The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Alexander Tevzadze attended the Policy Support Facility meeting organized by the European Commission at Tbilisi State University.

Due to recent developments, regulations will be tightened with regard to school excursions. Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Lia Gigauri talked about several issues, and emphasized that school excursions will become of great importance to the overall education platform. In this regard, the scheduled programs will continue, though safety norms and regulations will become much stricter.

The First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Ketevan Natriashvili participated at an International conference – Georgia’s European Way, concurrent with the Acting Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Mikheil Chkhenkeli on the issues of enhancing future cooperation prospects with the European Commission.

Within the scope of Batumi International Conference - "Georgia's European Way", the Acting Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli held an introductory meeting with the member of the European Union Affairs Committee of the Irish Parliament - Gerard P. Craughwell and the Head of the International and European Relations Institute (IIEA) - Rory Quin.

Owing to the organization of the Inclusive Education Development Division at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia on the Day of protecting the rights of persons with disabilities in Georgia, eight students with disabilities presented original craft-works of ethnic minorities (Romani) living in Georgia.
