The National Center for the Educational Quality Enhancement held a meeting with the students regarding the summary of the vocational reforms, as well as the important issues and future reform plans and strategies, which is crucial for the modular educational programs at all stages.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Aleksandre Jejelava held a meeting of the newly elected principals of public and private schools. The Standing board was elected for the first time, by the principals of the public and private schools, by taking into account the educational system of interest.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Aleksandre Jejelava visited and inspected Telavi Flight-Training Base – “Mimino” of Georgian University of Aviation equipped with modern infrastructure and technical appliances. Additionally, the Minister also attended the students’ training session.
President of Georgia – Giorgi Margvelashvili hosted a reception at the presidential palace, on which the President presented the projects funded from the Reserve Fund to the Minister of Education and Science – Aleksandre Jejelava, as well as to the rectors of the higher educational institutions and representatives from the government entities.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, with the support of the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency, held a competition – “Kreatoni”, which entailed participants competing with each other during a 12-hour duration to create the best concept.
The Minister of Education and Science, together with the Minister of Internal Affairs, attended the safety lessons. Aleksandre Jejelava and Giorgi Mghebrishvili, visited Tbilisi public school N176, and attended the lessons of safety – a joint project between the two Ministries.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia presented the results of the implemented reform in the field of vocational education during the years of 2014-2016.
Another Standing Commission was held, where the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Aleksandre Jejelava, together with the members of the committee discussed the changes in the teachers’ development and career advancement scheme.
Due to the government order, The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia will fund the tuition fund for the students residing in the divisor villages.
One of the top priorities for the Ministry of Education and Science is to enhance the entrepreneurial skills between the secondary school and vocational college students.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia visited public school N1 and N4 in Telavi, and subsequently met with the school students. Aleksandre Jejelava got acquainted with the ongoing educational process and held a meeting with the school representatives.
Rectors Council session was held at the Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University, which was opened by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Aleksandre Jejelava.
