The Minister briefly informed the Ambassador about the current situation in the field of education and science in Georgia and provided with the information about current and planned reforms.

With the financial support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and assistance of the Innovations and Technology Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, industrial innovations laboratory “Fablab” was organized on the basis of 14 state vocational education institutions available in Georgia.

Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Lia Gigauri visited the Tbilisi Boarding School №200, congratulated the children with the New Year and gave them the New Year gifts on behalf of the Minister. The Deputy Minister examined the handmade items of pupils and got acquainted with the process of their making.

Organized by the Ministry of Education and Science, the last vocational education meeting in 2016 held by the National Professional Council was held with the new members, chaired by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Aleksandre Jejelava.

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Aleksandre Jejelava, has presented his views this time to the international and non-governmental organizations, and to the representatives of the Georgian Teachers Association, as well as to the experts in Educational field.
