at Agrarian University of Georgia.

At today’s event organized at the Ministry of Education and Science of
Georgia Minister Dimitri Shashkini awarded only 231 schoolchildren with
Golden Medals. During 2010-2011 academic year, overall 877
schoolchildren were awarded with Golden Medals and 1122 schoolchildren
with Silver Medals.

The meeting of Unified National Exams 2011 Organizational Group was held
at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. All questions
concerning the exams were discussed during the meeting.

Ministry
of Education and Science of Georgia clarifies mis-information concerning the
fulltime positions of certified teachers and states that according to the
Decree # 576 of the Minister, school administrations are obliged to provide
fulltime positions to all certifies teachers. Copy of this Decree was sent to
every Public School of Georgia.

Eight million Georgian Lari will
be allocated from the state budget to buy 800 000 textbooks for the
schoolchildren from socially vulnerable families. Minister Dimitri Shashkini made statement on
this issue during the meeting of the Government of Georgia.

New subject “Road Signs and Traffic Safety” will be taught at schools
from new academic year. 1600 subject teachers will pass trainings at
Policy Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini and
Rector of Police Academy under the Ministry of Internal Affairs Khatia
Dekanoidze met the teachers of the subject and held the presentation of
new textbook at Tbilisi Public School № 23.

the process of training teachers and representatives of school administrations
on new national curriculum.

Resource officers continue to carry out charity events. The cinema “Rustaveli” hosted the resource officers and the schoolchildren of Gldani Boarding School. In the frame of Cinema “Rustaveli” and Resource Officers’ joint charity event the schoolchildren watched the movie “X-Men”. The resource officers also gave some presents to the schoolchildren.

the conference was the modern methods of teaching English language. The
conference was attended by more than 100 teachers of Tbilisi and other regions
of Georgia.

competency level in sports by school resource officers. Resource officers with
best results will be able to take the courses for rescue worker.
