with the support of the World Bank, has finished the examination of tools of
scheme for beginning the work as a teacher, professional development and career
advancement. The expert has already met the Minister of Education and Science
of Georgia Tamar Sanikidze and introduces the results of meetings.

Tbilisi State University, examined the area of TSU hydrometallurgy
study-scientific laboratory having got as a result of the disaster that
occurred in Tbilisi on June 13.

disaster, who stay in the hotel “444”, and heard their needs. The Minister gave
them food products made by vocational students.

school leaving certificate exams at Tbilisi N55 public school.

The Minister of
Education and Science of Georgia, Tamar Sanikidze visited “School of Tomorrow”
in the river Vere valley. She saw the damage caused by the disaster and heard
the problems that have to be solved first. One of the problems is examination
for school leaving certificate for students. By the decision of the Minister,
the 11th grade students of “School of Tomorrow” will take a pretest
and leaving certificate exams at Tbilisi N55 public school.

By the decision of the Ministry of
Education and Science of Georgia, a pretest for final exams of the 11th
grade students will take place tomorrow in whole Georgia. Accordingly, the
examination will start the day after tomorrow on June 17 from 9:00am.

Vake-Saburtalo district with population affected by the natural disaster. The
ministers inspected destroyed houses in the valley of river Vere and spoke to

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli
Garibashvili met with doctoral students who won in the competition. Shota
Rustaveli National Science Foundation of the Ministry of Education and Science
is organizing grant competition of doctorate educational programs since 2013.
Doctoral students, winners of the competition, for the first time in Georgia,
are receiving state funding.

In №147 public school of
Tbilisi, staff of emergency situation was established which, along with
directorate of the school and teachers, will be headed by the school’s resource
officer. Today representatives of Emergency Situations Management Agency of the
Ministry of Internal Affairs visited school and along with members of the
staff, carried out practical exercise how to safely evacuate pupils during
emergency situations (i.e. fire, earthquake). Minister of Education and Science
Tamar Sanikidze attended exercises.

Rehabilitation of public schools
by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is proceeding without
delays. At this time, the Minister Tamar Sanikidze got familiarized with
rehabilitation works going in the school №200 where Educational and Scientific
Infrastructure Development Agency is
carrying out renovation of yard, installation of ramped approach and entrance
door to the school.
