Owing to the decree issued by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli, the terms of the fourth stage of registration of first graders at public schools for the 2020-2021 academic year have been changed. As a result, instead of August 20, Phase IV of the first-grader registration will begin on July 13 and come to an end on August 31.

To increase the access to vocational education, a brand-new vocational college will be opened in Tskaltubo Municipality. Construction of the college is at an early stage currently.

To restore the film industry in the country, The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, in cooperation with the Ministry of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs, developed general recommendations for the filming process.

Complete renovation was carried out in the first public school of Ozurgeti. In September, the school, along with 19 other public schools in the region, will receive students and their teachers in a completely renovated environment. A modern technology and innovation center are also being built on the school premises. Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia got acquainted with the renovation process together with Zurab Nasaraia, Guria State Representative.

Georgian Museums Association (ICOM) within the scope of BE MUSEUMER project, participated in the International Conference - “Museums during Covid-19 - Challenges, Reassessments, Perspectives", organized by the Network of Museums Organizations of Georgia and Europe. Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Levan Kharatishvili, participated in the opening of the conference and addressed the participants.
